Australia selects its first ever SPH platform
Australia has made its decision regarding what SPH to equip its army with, and victory has fallen the way of the K9 from South Korean defence conglomerate Hanwha Defense.
After being appointed as sole preferred supplier under Phase 1 of Project Land 8116 – which falls under the Protected Mobile Fires capability – Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA) will soon be in receipt of an RfT for 30 K9 Huntsman artillery pieces along with 15 associated K10 ammunition resupply vehicles.
