Oshkosh Defense unveiled a new ambulance L-ATV variant to accompany its portfolio of Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTV) during AUSA Global Force in Huntsville.
The protected ambulance has been designed to keep up with the JLTV as the company seeks to address what it identified as a capability gap for an all-terrain, protected ambulance.
Inside the new vehicle there is space to hold four stretchers, or up to eight seated patients. Medical equipment can also be easily swapped in and out and updates, as well as changing the layout due to the vehicle’s modular configuration.
