AUSA 2016: New sights for mounted gunners

Optics manufacturer Trijicon has today launched its new machine gun sight system, which it has dubbed the Machine Gun Reflex Sight (MGRS).

The MGRS is designed to give machine gunners operating mounted weapons such as the M2 .50 cal and the M240 7.62mm better accuracy and reliability.

Trijicon spokesperson Johnny Moir told Shephard that there was a need in the market for this type of optical system because increased accuracy means more first round hits and thus a greater chance of eliminating a target, fewer rounds fired and less chance of collateral damage.
