Angola received upgraded SA-6 systems
The Angolan military has received a number of upgraded 2K12 Kub (SA-6 Gainful) surface-to-air missile systems, improving the country's low-to-medium aerial defence capability.
The upgraded surface-to-air missile system features all-new electronics of the launcher units using digital computers and all-new software for enhancing the system’s overall combat performance.
According to the 2018 United Nations Register of Conventional Arms (UNROCA), published in early June 2019, the deliveries included a total of 16 2P25-2L self-propelled launchers of the upgraded SA-6 derivative, known as the 2K12-ML Kvadrat-ML.
The delivered systems were sold by the Lithuanian company LiTak-Tak, while the upgrade work was carried
