Additional Bushmasters arrive in Japan
In mid-May four Bushmaster 4x4 protected mobility vehicles arrived on Japanese shores after delivery from Australia by ship. They had been ordered in 2017.
The khaki-coloured troop variants will be repainted in a more typical olive drab colour, as well as being fitted out with Japanese radios and other equipment, before entering operational service.
On 23 April, Thales Australia had tweeted, ‘The latest additions to the Japanese Bushmaster fleet have left Thales Bendigo on their journey to Japan,’ and illustrated the message with a photo of the vehicles lined up at its manufacturing facility in Bendigo.
