AAD 2018: Rand advancing armoured plate technology
South Africa-based Rand Armour is advancing its armoured plate technology to incorporate liquid composite capabilities within its protective systems for military and security users.
Rodney Anderson, director, detailed to Shephard the next generation of armoured plates the company is currently developing, a process that has been influenced by the military which has experienced problems with steel plate armour due to the fragmentation of the round causing injury once it has hit the plate.
