£3.5 billion Scout SV deal finally signed
Some thought it would never happen but General Dynamics UK has been awarded a £3.5 billion contact to deliver 589 Scout Specialist Vehicle armoured fighting vehicles to the British Army.
The company announced the deal on 3 September after a considerable effort by the British Army, which has been trying to get Scout approved before 2015 and the lead up to the UK general election due in May when purdah hits and all decisions are pushed back.
Vehicle deliveries are due from 2017 through to 2026 but there is still some way to go before all the different variants of
