US Coast Guard cutter Maple has completed a midlife maintenance availability (MMA) as part of the coast guard's In-Service Vessel Sustainment (ISVS) programme.

The 225ft Maple entered the MMA programme in September 2017 as the fourth of 16 seagoing buoy tenders to undergo the ISVS work. The sustainment work will keep the tenders in service another 15 years with an overhaul of deck equipment and weight handling gear, updates to the machinery control system and HVAC systems, topside preservation and a stability assessment.

Maple will now return to its homeport in Portsmoth, Virginia.
