DIMDEX: MBDA unveils coastal defence system
MBDA has displayed a new coastal defence system based on the Marte missile family at DIMDEX for the first time.
The Marte Coastal Defence System (MCDS) is designed to provide maritime coastal traffic surveillance and interdiction to hostile ships in territorial waters.
‘We believe this is an important, but niche capability, so we decided to keep the project simple and affordable,’ Michelle Di Nunzio, sales manager, export sales directorate at MBDA Italia, told Shephard.
