AAR awarded P-8A maintenance work
AAR has received a contract from the US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) for depot airframe maintenance and depot field team support of the P-8A fleet for the US Navy, Australia and foreign military sales customers, the company announced on 13 February.
Under the seven-year, firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, AAR will provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, in-service repair, technical directive incorporation, airframe modifications and AOG support.
Don Wetekam, senior vice president of government business development, AAR, said: ‘We are honoured by this selection and look forward to providing world-class service to military operators of the P-8A in the US and overseas.
‘While revenues will vary year to year, this will be a significant addition to the contract logistics sustainment services AAR provides to the government and defence marketplace.’
