Singapore Airshow: Regional customer to trial SARBE CommLink
An unnamed customer in the Asia Pacific region is preparing for a trial of McMurdo’s SARBE CommLink within the next six months ahead of a potential procurement cycle.
The SARBE digital wireless intercom is designed to assist emergency response and search and rescue (SAR) teams during operations. The range is up to 10km, through a dual band VHF/UHF with the option for communication via maritime VHF.
It was not disclosed whether the potential customer is military or a first responder, although ‘significant discussions’ had taken place with other parties in the region.
McMurdo officials added that there were no ITAR
