Saab's Arexis jamming pod nears flight testing
Ahead of schedule the Saab electronic attack jamming pod for its Arexis electronic package is moving forward to flight tests this year after an original projection of 2020.
More widely, the Arexis concept for fighter aircraft is a radar warning receiver, ISR and electronic countermeasure technology suite. The jamming pod itself was first revealed in 2017.
Flight tests will take place on a Gripen C/D aircraft owing to the availability of this type of aircraft to manufacturer Saab, and its ‘accessibility', Petter Bedoire, head of marketing and sales for EW at Saab, shared with journalists at a media briefing on
