Offensive cyber capability a focus of MDP
In a 4 December introductory evidence session with Chief of the Defence Staff Gen Nick Carter, the UK Defence Committee discussed how the soon-to-be-implemented Modernising Defence Programme (MDP) is prioritising cyber capability and alternative angles of warfare.
When asked about cyber capability, Carter was unsure about the specific cost of the changes and budget that would be allocated to future projects, but expected that it would be a ‘huge leap forward’ in the technology.
