World Defense Show 2026: Northrop Grumman to present improved C2 management system
The Northrop Grumman Integrated Battle Command System is in service with Poland and the US Army with another 20 countries believed to have expressed an interest.
Rockwell Collins introduced a new SATCOM terminal, the SWE-DISH CCT200 Fly-Away, at the International Broadcasting Convention 2011 in Amsterdam. The CCT200 Fly-Away terminal is fully integrated with the unique modular design of the CommuniCase Technology (CCT) concept, resulting in a more flexible and reliable offering than previously available. The compact and easily transported CCT200 Fly-Away extends the highly successful CCT product family with improved data throughput, higher link availability and operates within a wider satellite footprint.
The Rockwell Collins SWE-DISH CCT product family represents a major advancement in compact, quick-to-air, portable SATCOM technology. The CCT's flexibility enables military personnel, broadcasters and emergency first responders to easily interchange components in the field to establish a new system configuration. With its slide-in cassette, the integrated modem can easily be switched out and plugged into another CCT product, allowing systems to be adapted for rapidly evolving operational needs. The system also includes an exchangeable transceiver unit that changes the frequency band. The modular system architecture creates a significant cost advantage when compared to competing solutions.
Benefits and features of the modular design for the CCT200 Fly-Away terminal include:
•Available with X-, Ku-, and Ka-band, and fully compatible with the CCT product family and existing modules purchased for the CCT90 and CCT120 can be used with the CCT200;
•Improved data rate up to 50 Mbps depending on selected modem option, could also serve as a portable anchor station;
•Operates within a wider satellite footprint than with current CCT antenna systems;
•Easily transported in four cases;
•Rugged and durable, complies with military standards (MIL-STD-810F), and
•Satellite tracking option for use of inclined orbit satellites
The CCT product family's modularity and commonality means customers can stock fewer modules to support a variety of flexible mission packages and meet sparing needs. The Rockwell Collins SWE-DISH CCT200 Fly-Away terminal also features the same intuitive graphical user interface that is found on all CCT products, resulting in fewer training requirements for customers.
