Indo Defence 2018: SSVC’s MiPlayer communicating without connectivity

UK-based SSVC is showcasing for the first time in Asia-Pacific its MiPlayer and is garnering interest in the broadcasting service system across the region and in Australia.

The technology, which is browser-based opposed to application, is a live broadcasting service which works over a local Wi-Fi network, without the need for internet connectivity.

The UK Ministry of Defence is currently the prime contract for the media system and it is in usage with the Royal Navy. The service trialled the technology in the first instance. It is also used by the UK Border Force.
