Harris readies for SRW Applique programme
As a pre-solicitation notice was published on 28 June regarding the US Army vehicle-mounted Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW) Appliqué radio programme, a Harris representative has stressed the importance of the Network Integration Evaluation (NIE) that led to the requirement being advanced.
Dennis Moran, VP of US DoD business development for Harris’ RF communications division, told Shephard that the SRW Appliqué system was a ‘perfect example’ of the rapid acquisition process underpinning the NIE exercises.
‘We have the pre-solicitation notice and anticipate in August the RfP, and in parallel will continue tests in [NIE] 13.1,’ Moran explained.
