General Dynamics LTE hotspot hoping for EvO top spot

General Dynamics UK (GDUK) is hoping its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network will be integrated into the future Evolve to Open (EvO) open architecture communication system as part of the British MoD’s Morpheus communication programme.

The LTE network was applied to a Foxhound 4x4 which became the Hawk concept mobile hotspot centre used during Autonomous Warrior Land exercises 2018 (AW(L)18) which took place on Salisbury Plain from 12 November to 5 December. 

During the experiment Hawk enabled the receipt and onward transmission of disparate autonomous capability data feeds.

A GDUK spokesperson told Shephard that the company would like to integrate
