Eurosatory 2012: Thales wideband datalink receives STANAG 7085 certification

Thales' TMA 6000 wideband airborne datalink terminal has received STANAG 7085 certification by the Joint Interoperability Test Command.

This certification makes it the first European terminal of its kind to receive this type in the US, and has demonstrated its ability to transmit all types of data, including navigation, video and images, to US-made manpack terminals in service with NATO forces.

'The sensors that are being deployed are becoming wider and more varied,' Bruno Kerjean, product line manager for datalinks at Thales told a media briefing during the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris, France on 13 June.
