Eurosatory 2012: FLIR launches new sensors

FLIR has launched a number of new sensor systems at the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris, France.

The newest member to the Ranger family of long-range sensors, the HDC, is an HD situational awareness system with wide field of view (FOV) and zoom capabilities, and has 1280 X 720 image quality.

'The HDC is leveraged off the Ranger HRC system, and has a continuous optical zoom for moving from wide to narrow fields of view,' Anders Dahlberg, business development manager for surveillance at FLIR told Shephard. 'You risk losing the target if you have to switch between wide and narrow
