DIMDEX: Selex eyes Middle Eastern EW sales

Selex ES is considering plans to launch an Electronic Warfare Operational Support (EWOS) centre in the Middle East, according to company executives.

Speaking to Shephard at DIMDEX on 25 March, Brendan Nolan, divisional marketing manager at Selex’s Airborne & Space Systems Division, described how the company was building up a market overview of capabilities in the region.

Citing Selex’s DIRCM and radar warning systems as examples, Nolan said the Middle East had ‘grown up’ with the acquisition of exported equipment from Europe and the US via foreign military sales (FMS). He said an EWOS concept had ‘sparked interest’ in Qatar,
