BAE Systems will employ model-based systems engineering architecture to create full design traceability

BAE Systems has obtained a $94 million contract to deliver AI and autonomy technology to the Airborne Systems Integration Division of the US Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), the company announced on 10 November.

Work will be carried out at the Webster Outlying Field NAWCAD facility. The completion date was undisclosed.

BAE Systems will provide engineering, test, and evaluation support for sensors as well as C2 and weapons systems for various manned and unmanned airborne platforms.

The company will use its digital engineering tools, based around its ADAMS model-based systems engineering architecture, to create full design traceability to requirements, improved collaboration, and a digital repository for the Airborne Systems Integration Division.
