Lockheed Martin set for new top leadership
Lockheed Martin’s Board of Directors has elected James Taiclet as the company’s new President and CEO, effective from 15 June.
Taiclet replaces Marillyn Hewson on her recommendation. Hewson has served as chairman, president and CEO since 2014.
On the change in leadership, Hewson said: ‘The corporation is strong, as evidenced by our outstanding financial results last year and a record backlog of business.’
Taiclet is a former president of Honeywell Aerospace Services and he also served as vice-president of engine services at Pratt & Whitney (a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation).
