Lawmakers seek clarity over US Army's Futures Command
US Army leaders sought to quell lawmakers' concerns over the new Futures Command in what is expected to be an initial step towards explaining how the command will operate within the DoD structure to produce and field next-generation capabilities.
Army undersecretary Ryan McCarthy and the Futures Command's first commanding general Gen John Murray appeared before House lawmakers on 13 September to testify in a hearing fittingly titled 'Army Futures Command: Will it help?'
The duo fielded an array of questions on day-to-day operations, the command's structure and how it will help the service avoid costly missteps like the Future
