DLA Energy picks ten for fuel contracts
The US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Energy has awarded a series of contracts worth a combined total of almost $1.8 billion to deliver various types of fuel, the DoD revealed on 31 July.
The main recipients among the ten contractors, which were selected following a competitive tender that attracted 22 bids, include Tesoro Refining and Marketing ($474.88 million); BP North America ($382.86 million); Valero Marketing and Supply ($292.4 million); and PAR Hawaii Refining ($202.88 million).
Work is scheduled for completion by 30 October 2021.
FY2021 defence working capital funds were appropriated for this procurement.
