Putin pledges an increased Mi-28NM order

Russian President Vladimir Putin insisted that the Russian MoD is set to increase an order to be placed in the coming months for the Mi-28NM attack helicopter. He said that the expected Mi-28NM purchase should cover no fewer than 100 examples slated to be delivered until 2028 to the Russian Army Aviation (RAA) branch.

In addition, he tasked the Russian MoD and industry to equip all RAA helicopters with modern self-protection suites with improved performance and with extended-range guided missiles. As of now, only the Ka-52 and Mi-35M attack helicopter fleets, and a small proportion of Mi-8AMTSh-V assault transport helicopters
