Two enhanced Mi-28NM attack helicopters bound for the Russian MoD are due to delivered by the end of this year.

This was revealed on 18 December 2017 by Yury Borisov, Russia’s deputy defence minister responsible for procurement.

The entire order is for an undisclosed number of Mi-28NM to be built at Rostvertol for ‘experimental operation’.

Shephard suspects that it is most likely to cover up to 12 helicopters slated for delivery to the 929th Russian Air and Space Force’s State Flight Test Centre at Tchkalovsky near Moscow for operational testing in addition to the 344th Army Aviation’s Combat and Aircrew
