Utility helicopter OEMs eye Spike

Rafael continues to offer its Spike family of antitank guided missiles as a weapons upgrade for various types of utility helicopter.

Spike variants already arm ten types of helicopter, and negotiations are under way with rotary-wing OEMs and militaries around the world.

For example, Airbus Helicopters expects to offer its H145M with the Spike ER2 missile. ‘A demo launch will be performed soon,’ Gal Papier, marketing manager in Rafael’s Precision Tactical Systems division, told Shephard. ‘We are now talking with Airbus on arming their H125 utility helicopter with our Spike ER2 missiles.’
