Pakistan Army fields new trainer helicopters

It has been confirmed that the Pakistan Army Aviation Corps now has a quartet of Enstrom 280FX helicopters that will be used for pilot training purposes.

The four aircraft are painted blue and white, and they are adorned with a Pakistan Army roundel.

Enstrom announced the sale of 280FXs via Rawalpindi-based Global Services & Solutions last September. It turns out that this sale ‘managed by Enstrom’s representative in Pakistan’ was destined for the army. Significantly, this was Enstrom’s first sale in Pakistan.

According to Enstrom, the delivery of these piston-engine rotorcraft to the Pakistan military was originally scheduled to occur
