NZ orders NH90 simulator from CAE

New Zealand’s MoD announced on 8 August that it had awarded a contract to CAE for a single NH90 helicopter full flight simulator.

The Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) will establish the 700MR-series simulator at Ohakea Air Base, the location where all eight NH90s of 3 Squadron are based. A new facility will be built there to house the 10m-high simulator.

The cost allocated for the acquisition and installation is NZ$42.73 million ($28.8 million), and will come from existing budgets.
