Nigeria orders Mi-171Sh, Mi-35M

Nigeria has placed a large order for Russian military rotorcraft, including Mi-171Sh and Mi-35M helicopters, the deputy director general of Rosoboronexport, Russia’s defence export company, revealed on 12 September.

Sergey Goreslavsky was cited by the Russian TASS news agency as stating that a contract signed in August called for the delivery of a large batch of Mi-171Sh tactical transport helicopters and a few Mi-35M attack helicopters.

However, Goreslavsky declined to disclose the exact numbers of both orders.
