MRH-90 added to Australian Projects of Concern list

Australian defence ministers have said the programme to get the MRH-90 utility helicopter into service is at risk of further delay, with the $2 billion programme for 46 helicopters added to the DoD’s Projects of Concern list on 28 November.

The project has now suffered delays of two years, primarily due to ‘technical issues affecting the aircraft’.

‘There remains a risk that the programme will be further delayed,’ said ministers in a statement.

The department said: ‘The MRH project has encountered a number of significant technical issues, which have now triggered early indicators and warnings thresholds for schedule and contractor
