Germany to send WS-61 Westland Sea King helicopters to Ukraine
Germany has committed to sending Ukraine six of its 21 retiring WS-61 Westland Sea King multirole, amphibious helicopters.
LORD has received an Active Vibration Control System (AVCS) development contract from Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) for Light Civilian Helicopter (LCH) and its variants, it was announced on 15 June.
As part of the contract, LORD will provide technical support for AVCS system development for the aircraft as well as manufacture and supply AVCS components in the future. KAI plans to carry out the first fielding on the LCH in 2020 and on the armed variant in 2022.
Bill Cerami, president, LORD Aerospace and Defense, said: ‘Our technical support will enable this programme to be a success. Our equipment is qualified and ready for use on this new KAI platform.’
