Lockheed to sustain Apache M-TADS/PNVS

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a contract by the US Army to sustain the AH-64D/E Apache’s targeting and pilotage system, the Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (M-TADS/PNVS), the company announced on 6 January. 

The one-year base Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contract, awarded in December, is valued at $31.8 million with a total value not to exceed $85.5 million. It includes four additional one-year options. 

The company will undertake work to enable M-TADS/PNVS mission readiness, drive reliability and maintainability improvements, and reduce operation and support costs.

Mike Taylor, director, M-TADS/PNVS international and sustainment programs, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, said: ‘We work hard to ensure that our PBL customers have the highest availability rates possible, and we back that up with a team of field representatives who stay ready around the clock, around the world.’
