Lockheed eyes UAS for JAGM

With Lockheed Martin moving the Joint Air-Ground Missile (JAGM) into production under a new Pentagon contract, the company is looking at future integration onto unmanned vehicles such as the Gray Eagle.

On 31 July it was announced that the company had won a $66 million contract for the engineering manufacturing and development (EMD) phase of JAGM for the US Army and Navy. 

The contract includes two additional options for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) of the Hellfire replacement valued at approximately $60 million each.

The EMD will allow JAGM to reach Milestone C which will be completed in late 2017;
