The T53 turboshaft engine powers helicopters such as the Bell UH-1H Huey, Huey II and AH-1H Cobra.
Mosab Alkubaisy, director Middle East and Africa, Honeywell Aerospace, said: ‘As the Middle East and Africa region continues to grow, we recognise the need to offer a more accessible, regional repair and maintenance option.
'With the new Jordanian Aeronautical Systems service centre, operators can have their T53 engines repaired locally, which means quicker turnaround and less downtime so they can stay flying for longer.’
