First modified MV-22 Osprey delivered to USMC
Boeing and Bell Textron have delivered the first modified MV-22 Osprey to the US Marine Corps (USMC).
Bell Boeing is upgrading block B aircraft to the current block C configuration for the marine corps under the Common Configuration – Readiness and Modernization (CC-RAM) programme.
The work is being carried out to reduce the number of configurations operated by the USMC. A further nine aircraft will be modified under a $146 million contract awarded by the US Navy in November.
The next CC-RAM delivery is expected in early 2020.
