Crash report calls for helicopter safety reform

Canada's Transportation Safety Board is calling for significant reform in helicopter safety regulations following its investigation into the fatal crash of a Cougar Helicopters S-92A off the coast of Newfoundland in 2009.

Releasing the final report of the investigation on 9 February, board chair Wendy Tadros said the cause of the crash could not be attributed to one catastrophic failure.
