AUSA 2011: Waters clear on Kiowa replacement

With the US Army starting to show its hand on the project to replace the Kiowa Warrior, industry in turn is shaping its response to the most likely acquisition strategy.

Following confirmation that the army is looking to a series of flight demonstrations of candidate Armed Aerial Scout (AAS) aircraft in 2012, company officials used the AUSA exhibition in Washington DC to reaffirm the maturity of their products.
