Army to digitise Lima model Black Hawks

The US Army is on the verge of awarding a contract to digitise the cockpits of its fleet of UH-60L Black Hawks, according to industry sources.

At the Quad A exhibition in Nashville at the start of May, several industry representatives told Shephard that the army was widely expected to announce a successful bidder for the UH-60L Cockpit Digitization project by the end of this month.

The programme will bring the UH-60L up to the standard of the newer ‘Mike’ model Black Hawk and is expected to result in around 760 aircraft being upgraded.
