Sea Lion flies in serial configuration
The second NH90 Sea Lion prototype helicopter has performed its first flight in serial configuration, Airbus Helicopters announced on 13 July.
The first flight, performed on 10 July, marks the commencement of the helicopter’s qualification phase. Once this phase is finished, the German customer will release the military type certificate to allow the first serial delivery, which is scheduled for the end of 2019.
A total of 18 NH90 Sea Lion helicopters are on order for the German Navy.
