AAD 2012: Russian Helicopters and Denel sign MRO agreement

Russian Helicopters and Denel have signed a teaming agreement for the latter to provide MRO services for helicopters purchased by African countries.

Signed during the Africa Aerospace and Defence exhibition in Pretoria in South Africa on 19 September, the agreement will at first see Denel provide maintenance and eventually repair and overhaul services.

‘Africa is a leader in providing MRO services,’ Mike Kgobe, chief executive of Denel, said at the signing. ‘This is a key component for our future growth on the continent.’
