Teal Drones delivers first Black Widows as parent company reports six-month loss

US technology and uncrewed systems company Red Cat has announced the delivery of the first shipment of Black Widow sUAS to the US Army by its subsidiary Teal Drones in a deal worth US$3.5 million.
The announcement follows Red Cat’s release of its financial results for the first half of 2025 which shows a drop in revenue. This follows a year of developments at the company which includes the appointment of a new president at Teal Drones, the unveiling of Black Widow sUAS and the award of the SRR contract.
