Brazil scraps A-Darter serial production plans
The cancellation last year of A-Darter AAM serial production in Brazil marked a change of course for the Brazilian Air Force (FAB).
The decision was taken by senior FAB commanders following developmental delays to A-Darter, even though it passed qualification and certification tests in Brazil in September 2019.
The missile was developed by a consortium comprising SIATT of Brazil and Denel Dynamics of South Africa. Under Project Kamas, Denel is carrying out A-Darter industrialisation and production for the South African Air Force.
