NAVAIR picks Lockheed for more F-35 production support
Lockheed Martin is to provide ‘economic order quantities of material’ in support of F-35 Lightning II low-rate initial production (Lots 15, 16 and 17), under a $709.79 million contract modification from US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).
Recipients will include FMS customers as well as the USAF, USMC and USN, the DoD announced in late September.
Work will be performed mainly in the US but also at Warton, UK (9%) and Cameri, Italy (4%), for completion in May 2026.
