AUSA 2014: Textron continues Fury development

Following successful drop tests in August, Textron Systems will continue to advance its Fury missile to fit additional platforms and to increase the number of missiles available for each platform.

Fury is a light munition designed to be fitted to small tactical UAS.

Christian Leimkuehler, vice president of the precision weapon systems division of Textron told Shephard that next steps would be to make the Fury more flexible and to incorporate new seeker technology.

He said that it won’t replace any existing missile systems, but will offer the military more choice so that users can select to use a Fury
