ThalesRaytheonSystems delivers Ground Master 400 radar to Slovenia
ThalesRaytheonSystems has delivered the first of two Ground Master 400 air defense radars to Slovenia. The first Ground Master 400 radar successfully passed site acceptance tests following installation and performance testing. The radars are expected to go into operational service by the end of 2011. The Ground Master radars have been installed in a fixed configuration under radomes, and will complement existing air surveillance for the Slovenian airspace by using the latest radar technology, providing superior detection performance in high and low altitudes, high availability, and simplified maintenance.
"ThalesRaytheonSystems launched its Ground Master family of radars in 2008, and we are proud to have delivered the very first Ground Master 400 radar to our Slovenian customer," said Philippe Duhamel, CEO, ThalesRaytheonSystems, French Operations. "This first delivery is a historical milestone for ThalesRaytheonSystems and Thales, and we are looking forward to delivering the already contracted radars to our customers in the coming years."
The Ground Master 400 benefits from the most advanced technology available on the market and is part of ThalesRaytheonSystems' fully digital 3-D air defense Ground Master radar family.
