Farnborough 2018: Tekever launches AR5 for maritime missions

Portuguese UAS manufacturer Tekever has unveiled its new twin-engined, fixed-wing unmanned aircraft – AR5 – designed for wide area maritime surveillance missions.

The system holds a MTOW of 180kg, an endurance capability of up to 20h and is already performing monitoring missions over the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea.

‘This tool allows us to essentially shrink what much larger systems do onto a smaller package and is easily transportable to any theatre of operation,’ Ricardo Mendes, CEO at Tekever said. ‘It’s also an affordable asset which will fall within the budgets of smaller countries.
