Taiwan UAV scene getting crowded

Taiwan’s domestic UAV industry showed strong signs of growth at this year’s Taipei Aerospace & Defence Technology Exhibition (TADTE), which took place from 13-16 August.

As well as a large MALE UAV resembling an MQ-1 Reaper, and designs from Uaver, there were a number of other manufacturers exhibiting. 

A team from the electronics department of the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) showed several early multi-rotor designs of craft that could be used for disaster relief or by the military. One design that caught particular interest was a platform featuring an 3D printed body, which the team said
