Eurosatory 2012: Next generation Throwbot introduced

ReconRobotics has introduced the Throwbot XT UGV with added audio capability at the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris.

The system is described as ‘an advanced military and police robot with state-of-the-art reconnaissance capabilities’, and is a throwable, mobile micro UGV that provides audio and video reconnaissance of ‘dangerous’ environments.

'Adding audio to the system is actually quite easy,' Barry Harris, director of international programmes for the company told Shephard. 'We spent about a year finding the right audio system for it.'
