DSEI 2015: Upgraded Desert Hawk wins deal

The UK Ministry of Defence awarded Lockheed Martin a support contract for the Desert Hawk 3.1 programme, while the OEM also revealed upgrades to the UAS had increased its system capability.

The 3.1 configuration features deep stall landing, all-weather capability, updated sensor payloads and improved endurance, compared to the previous variant. The system was recently upgraded to a digital data-link achieving MoD full operational capability.
